TL1 Postdoctoral Fellow, Sarah Phillips, Will Present at the 2025 Language Science Fair

We’re excited to share that our TL1 Postdoctoral Trainees, Dr. Sarah Phillips, is presenting “When Code-Switching Isn’t ‘Switching’ at All” at this year’s Language Science Fair at the Planet Word Museum in Washington, D.C on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00 am.

This interactive event celebrates all things language science with hands-on activities, short talks, live demonstrations, puzzles, and prizes — perfect for families, students, educators, and curious minds of all ages. Sarah, alongside linguists from Georgetown University and other regional institutions, will be giving a short public talk in the Planet Word auditorium.

This event is hosted by the Language Science Station and the University of Maryland’s Language Science Center as part of the National Science Foundation’s 75th Anniversary celebrations.
